The project entailed the following activities:

1. Network Design and Planning:
   • Conducting a thorough analysis of the institution’s requirements and infrastructure layout.
   • Designing a scalable and efficient network architecture that meets current needs and allows for future expansion.
   • Planning for network segmentation, subnetting, and addressing schemes.
2. Cabling and Wiring:
   • Installing structured cabling to support data, voice, and multimedia services.
   • Using high-quality cables and connectors to minimize signal degradation.
   • Implementing cable management systems for easy troubleshooting and scalability.
3. Switching and Routing:
   • Deploying network switches and routers to facilitate data traffic within the institution.
   • Configuring VLANs (Virtual Local Area Networks) for network segmentation and security.
   • Implementing dynamic routing protocols for efficient data routing.
4. Wireless Network Deployment:
   • Designing and install a robust wireless network to provide seamless connectivity across the institution.
   • Conducting a site survey to optimize access point placement and coverage.
   • Implementing security measures such as WPA3, guest network isolation, and strong encryption.
5. Network Security:
   • Setting up firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention systems to safeguard against cyber threats.
   • Implementing VPN (Virtual Private Network) for secure remote access.
